Student Leader Update 04 (10/11/26)

Leader Update for week of 10/11/2026

Band App Test! 🙌

SMS FCA Student Leaders & Parents,

We're testing the BAND app for all FCA communication, and you're the first group to try it out!

BAND was built for public schools, and several SMS teams already use it. Switching would save Shelby County FCA about $800 a year and make communication easier for everyone.

Step 1: Join the SMS Student Leader group
This group is only for SMS Student Leaders and their parents, so please don't share this invite.

Invite Code: 3AK-3RM-PE
https://band.us/n/a9acb8o7c6ddl

Step 2: Join the SMS FCA Huddle group
This is the group all SMS FCA students will eventually use. For now, it's open only to Student Leaders and their parents, so please don't share this invite yet either. If we decide to move forward with BAND, we'll invite all SMS FCA members, with a target launch of January 1, 2027.

Invite Code: E4K-WZN-JG

Thanks for helping us test this out. Let me know if you have any questions or run into issues joining!

We're Splitting Up!

Starting this Friday, Huddle will have two groups. Everyone will meet together for announcements and worship, then split into two groups for games and the lesson.

I've posted the details in BAND so you can comment and discuss there. I'm sharing it here too. Please let me know your thoughts or any suggestions on how it's set up!
